Lee Min Hyuk

South Korea native Lee Min-hyuk, recognized professionally as Minhyuk or Huta, works as a vocalist, rapper, and performer whose primary recognition stems from his place in the boy band BtoB. He first rose to prominence alongside that group after its 2015 album Complete topped the national charts, and he has since contributed to every subsequent BtoB release. Parallel to his group activities, he ventured into television, taking supporting parts in series such as A New Leaf and Sweet, Savage Family. His solo career began in earnest with the 2019 album Hutazone, which landed at number three on the Gaon Albums chart; he followed it in 2022 with the album Boom.

Born in Seoul in 1990, Minhyuk developed an early passion for the stage and later enrolled at Dankook University to pursue formal music studies. Between 2008 and 2009 he issued a handful of independent tracks, then joined the lineup of BtoB when Cube Entertainment assembled the act in 2012. Within the group he achieved broad success, securing a number-one placement on the South Korean album charts with Complete and placing three further BtoB albums inside the national Top Five.

While maintaining his band commitments, he broadened his acting résumé with appearances in Fantastic Tower and additional dramas. On his own, he first tested the solo market with the Japan-exclusive EP Summer Diary in 2018. The following year he issued his debut Korean studio album, Hutazone, which included the single “Purple Rain” recorded with Cheeze. He also released the standalone track “Good Night” in 2021 before returning in 2022 with Boom, another Top Five entry on the domestic charts.
