Biography
Formed in Phoenix, Arizona, during 2011 by brothers Igor and Zyon Cavalera—the sons of Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera—after their metalcore band Mold Breaker disbanded, Lody Kong functions as a hard-hitting sludge/thrash/punk-metal outfit. With assistance from local musicians John Bauer on lead guitar and Shea Fahey on bass, the quartet put out two demos in 2012 while also supporting Soulfly on the Maximum Cavalera Tour. Minus Head Records issued the band’s debut EP, No Rules, the next year, and the first full-length album, Dreams and Visions, arrived in 2016, bringing in fresh members Travis Stone on lead guitar and Noah Shepherd on bass.
