Formed in Houston, Texas, this norteño ensemble from the Mexican regional tradition features a core lineup that has endured over time: Martin Juarez handling lead vocals and accordion duties, alongside saxophonist José Juárez, David Vatela on bajo sexto, Daniel Arras contributing electric bass and vocals, plus David Arras behind the drums. The outfit entered the recording scene in 1995 via Mis Penas, released through Joey International. Following extensive road work, Sony International put out La Historia 12 Anzuelo Norteños along with Amor Negro. Three projects arrived in 2003—Tres Talentos, Rumbo al Sur, and Río Conchos. Chart entries emerged as they performed across Mexico, extending into Central and South America, plus the U.S. mainland and Puerto Rico. Todo Para Ti appeared in 2005; Nada Que Imitar and Contra el Viento Marea came next in 2008. Releases of Sin Perder la Fe and De lo Bueno lo Mejor occurred in 2010, coinciding with a return to the charts. A compilation of hits preceded Algo Especial in 2013, the latter containing the charting single "Ruta Alternativa."
