Lost Tapes

In 2012 Pau Roca and RJ Sinclair launched Lost Tapes in Cataluña, Spain. Roca had previously gained notice fronting the indie band La Habitación Roja, while Sinclair had played in the punk group Tokyo Sex Destruction; even so, the pair stressed that Lost Tapes was never intended as a casual side effort. After circulating a series of digital singles marked by ringing guitars and the melodic power-pop style associated with the C-86 era and bands such as the Pastels, they issued their first album in 2016. Let's Get Lost evoked the groups that had shaped them yet preserved a distinct identity of its own. The following year Roca and Sinclair released the fourteen-track compilation We Thought It Was Okay at the Time, assembling the earlier singles that had preceded the debut.
