Biography
Born on 25 November 1969 in Dordrecht, Netherlands, Foort works as a well-regarded DJ and producer from his Rotterdam base. His progressive house productions have featured on compilations mixed by Sasha, Nick Warren, Seb Fontaine and John Digweed. In addition to his DJ work, the musically educated artist plays saxophone. Exposure to Sasha and Digweed’s performance at London’s Ministry Of Sound in 1994 sparked his interest, leading him to deliver his debut set that same year at Club Carrera in Rotterdam. Under the names Funk Function, Groove Delight and Dutch Liquid he has issued a large number of tracks. Remixes completed for Digweed’s Bedrock, Postiva Records, 3 Beat, Cyber and React Music, together with two United label mix compilations, expanded his global recognition and earned him recurring bookings at Gatecrasher in the UK.
