Biography
Originating from the vision of Draconian guitarist Daniel Arvidsson, Sweden's Mammoth Storm crafts a ferocious fusion of doom, psych, drone, and stoner metal, evoking comparisons to Mastodon, Black Sabbath, Land of Nod, and Electric Wizard. The trio came together in 2012 with Arvidsson on bass and vocals, guitarist Christer Ström, and drummer Emil Ahlman, who adds occasional organ textures. After independently issuing their first EP, Rite of Ascension, in 2014, the band signed with Napalm Records, paving the way for their inaugural full-length studio album, Fornjot, the next year.
