Metropolis

Formed in 1991, the quartet Metropolis introduced their Christian-themed lyrics to listeners throughout their native Florida. Drawing sonic inspiration from The Cure, Psychedelic Furs, Depeche Mode, and New Order, the group channeled its affection for 1980s alternative rock on the independently released debut Fade in 1996. The band later joined Absolute Records in 1999, issuing its sophomore full-length, the self-titled Metropolis, the next year.
