Morgan Saint crafts understated, off-center pop that echoes the atmospheric sensibilities of Lorde, Broods, and Banks. The vocalist, songwriter, and producer first surfaced in 2017 with the EP 17 Hero, then widened her distance from the pack through later releases such as the 2018 project Alien and the 2020 set Help, along with tracks including “It Hurts to Be Human” and “End of Time.”

Born Morgan Gildersleeve on Long Island in 1997, she spent eight years studying piano, picked up guitar on her own, and quietly composed songs and poems throughout high school and her illustration coursework at Parsons School of Design. Local performances led to an introduction to Cass Dillon; what began as a plan to cut five songs together eventually yielded more than twice that number. Following her 2017 signing to Epic, the poised ballad “You”—marked by candid lyrics delivered with quiet poise—appeared as her first single that August. Its parent EP, 17 Hero, followed two months later, and 2018 brought Alien, another collection of Dillon collaborations. After the interim releases “Thru Your Phone” and “God Bless Our Souls,” she issued her third EP, Help, in 2020. Subsequent independent singles included “Did You Lose Your Heart” and “It Hurts to Be Human” in 2023, then “End of Time” and “Blazing” in 2024.
