Biography
Originating in Poland, MYSTXRIVL has built a strong following as a wave producer celebrated for his ethereal soundscapes and deep commitment to liquid atmospherics. He pulls from numerous electronic sources and describes his output as carrying ‘Post-Trap, Post-Dubstep, Trance and R&B’ qualities.
Over the past several years his darkly emotional compositions have attracted a loyal wave audience, even though he stops short of labeling himself a wave purist. He belongs to the established collective Wavemob and has worked alongside prominent wave-scene figures such as Klimeks and Kareful.
He points to his Soundcloud period in 2014/2015 and Misogi’s ‘Occult EP’ as the primary influences that continue to guide him, and his current efforts center on developing a darker strain of Wave. He performs regularly throughout Poland and the USA, including a 2017 appearance at Czeluscie Festival.
That same year Liquid Ritual issued a release from MYSTXRIVL, while two of his pieces appeared on Wavemob’s third mixtape. He also contributed to The Accidental Poet’s “Pentamer” compilation, the second Czeluść Wolumin 2 compilation, and the ‘BABLYON RISING’ compilation released through nigh† †errors.
