Natalie Taylor crafts smooth piano pop from her Nashville base, with lyrics that center on emotional experiences. Success with music licensing, particularly for screen use, followed the 2015 release of her independent EP Wildfire, and her introspective breakup ballad “Surrender” gained widespread traction toward the close of the decade through repeated television features and widespread social-media circulation that drove millions of streams.
Born in Alabama, Taylor spent her formative years in Birmingham absorbing country and R&B sounds; as an elementary-school student she performed numbers by Patty Griffin, Mariah Carey, and similar artists.
