Nitrogods, a boisterous German hard rock trio, deliver direct rock & roll driven by raw muscle, high volume, and bold attitude. Their sound revives the fast, aggressive hard rock and metal of the 1980s, ideal for beer-fueled headbanging. The 2012 debut Nitrogods established their explosive approach, Roadkill BBQ from 2017 introduced blues and boogie touches, and Valley of the Gods in 2024 revealed greater studio sophistication while retaining full force.

Formed in Hanover, Germany, in 2010, the lineup consists of guitarist and backing vocalist Henny Wolter, bassist and lead singer Oimel Larcher, and drummer Klaus Sperling. Wolter and Sperling brought prior experience from the European rock and metal circuit through their work together in Sinner and Primal Fear. After leaving Primal Fear in 2010, Wolter launched his own band to pursue tough rock & roll modeled on Motörhead, Rose Tattoo, and Status Quo. He enlisted Sperling on drums, who in turn recruited Larcher, a Chinchilla touring alumnus. The trio adopted the name Nitrogods, built a live following, and signed with the German Steamhammer label. Their self-titled debut appeared in 2012 with guest spots from former Motörhead guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke and ex-Nazareth vocalist Dan McCafferty. Heavy European touring ensued, including festival dates and opening slots for W.A.S.P., plus the launch of their annual Nitrofest in Hannover.

Rats & Rumours, issued in 2014, was tracked at an analog studio using classic 24-track tape. Roadkill BBQ from 2017 blended boogie rock and hard blues numbers and became their first German album chart entry at number 63. Rebel Dayz in 2019 sought to bottle the impact of their concerts, while the 2022 live set Ten Years of Crap: Live documented over-the-top shows in Berlin and Hannover. Their fifth studio album, Valley of the Gods from 2024, spotlighted blues influences filtered through their trademark Wall of Sound.
