Outasight

Richard Andrew records and performs as Outasight, the Yonkers, New York rapper and singer whose style fuses rap, R&B, and rock while occasionally reaching mainstream listeners. He first drew attention through live shows at clubs and festivals together with a run of mixtapes that began with Employee of the Year in 2007. Further, released in 2009, started out as a 14-track mixtape before being edited into a six-track EP and issued more widely by Asylum, a Warner subsidiary. Several further mixtapes followed until his first major-label single arrived in 2011 with “Tonight Is the Night,” a disco-funk party track given a glossy pop finish that reached the Top 40 on the U.S. pop chart. The debut album Nights Like These came out the next November. Another mixtape and a handful of energetic, cross-genre singles paved the way for the October 2015 follow-up Big Trouble.
