Biography
PANTyRAID originated in 2008 when Josh Mayer, known as Ooah from Glitch Mob, joined forces with Martin Folb, aka Martyparty, to launch an EDM duo. Drawing from Ibiza, French house, dubstep, and hyphy hip-hop, the West Coast producers set out to craft dance tracks that emphasized song structure over basic four-on-the-floor patterns. Their debut effort, The Sauce, arrived in 2009 and delivered on that goal, after which Glass Air—the label run by Glitch Mob—put out the intricate 2013 follow-up Pillowtalk. The same imprint handled 2016’s Afterglow, an album that reached high positions on Billboard’s Top Electronic Albums chart in part through the singles “Wanting Moves” and “6 AM.” Immediately afterward the duo launched a tour in support of the record, opening the run with slots at Coachella.
