Biography
Based in Georgia, this musician stood out among the early Jesus Music scene for his songwriting prowess. Although the Pat Terry Group issued several engaging pop CCM albums throughout the mid-to-late 1970s, those releases offered no hint of the three introspective and artful solo albums he would craft with Mark Heard in the early 1980s—projects that ended his work in the gospel market. Terry remains active as a writer, now concentrating on country material.
