Biography
Born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1946, CCM singer/songwriter Don Francisco grew up as the son of a seminary professor yet initially chose a path as a secular performer. At age 28 a supernatural experience redirected him toward singing the praises of Christ. His first LP, Brother of the Son, arrived in 1976; subsequent releases such as 1980's Got to Tell Somebody, 1983's Holiness, 1988's High Praise, and 1991's Vision of the Valley brought him recognition for narrative pieces including the story song "He's Alive" and reassuring accounts such as "I'll Never Let Go of Your Hand." Marking two decades in ministry, he issued his twelfth original collection, He's Alive, in 1997. Beautiful to Me followed the next year, and Francisco returned in 1999 with Grace on Grace.
