Biography
Born on April 13, 1955, in Wheaton, Illinois, Steve Camp rose to prominence as a widely followed and highly productive figure in contemporary Christian music, recognized for his polished adult contemporary style and firm grounding in scriptural principles. His church-centered upbringing quickly revealed a gift for melody, leading him to spend his developmental period collaborating with and absorbing techniques from Christian rock trailblazer Larry David Norman. After issuing his first album, Sayin' It with Love, in 1978, he has sold millions of recordings while authoring or co-authoring 21 number one singles. Outside his recording career, Camp has produced extensive commentary on Reformed Theology through his well-trafficked website, which operates in tandem with Audience One Ministries, the organization he established.
