Biography
Having already scored success on two prior occasions by discovering and producing teenage ensembles, Maurice Starr made another attempt in 1990 when he assembled Perfect Gentlemen, a Boston trio whose members ranged from 11 to 13 years old. Corey Blakey, Tyrone Sutton, and Maurice Jr., Starr’s own son, joined New Kids on the Block on tour that year and issued the album Rated PG via Columbia. The single “Ooh La La (I Can’t Get Over You)” reached the pop Top Ten, raising the possibility that Starr had repeated his earlier accomplishments. No further recordings or appearances from the group have surfaced since.
