Philip Plested, an English singer and songwriter, launched his career as a member of the rock outfit Chasing Grace. The London-based musician performed as co-vocalist in the quartet from 2011 until early 2016. Following the group’s dissolution, he concentrated on writing material for U.K. pop acts such as Little Mix, Fleur East, Zayn, Emeli Sandé, James Morrison, and numerous others. Concurrently he introduced his solo output with the single “I O U,” then delivered “Habits” in 2017. An ongoing sequence of releases paved the way for his debut EP, First & Foremost (Atlantic), in 2018. Showcasing his passionate, yearning vocals and pastoral guitar work, the set contained the single “Your Name.”
