Biography
Emerging from Liverpool in 2000, the ironically charged electro group Robots In Disguise came together as a duo. After appearing as extras on the series The Mighty Boosh, Dee Plume on vocals and guitar alongside Sue Denim on vocals and bass guitar issued their opening EP, Mix Up Words and Sounds, that same year. Their self-titled debut album arrived the following year, after which the pair put out only two singles before a longer gap preceded the 2005 album Get RID!. Following extensive live work across England and mainland Europe, the project—now augmented by additional musicians for performances—returned to radio in October 2007 via the single “The Sex Has Made Me Stupid,” an early preview of the full-length set We’re In the Music Biz that surfaced in 2008.
