Rory

Not to be mistaken for the children's performer sharing her moniker, Rory formed as a high-energy emo-rock five-piece out of Altamonte Springs, Florida, around 1998. That summer the group issued its debut EP, the five-track Always Right as in We Are, on One Eleven Records. Vocalist Jeremy Menard, drummer Joel Setzer, bassist Marc Ispass, and guitarists Jordan Shroyer and Chris Moore spent the next couple of years crisscrossing the United States, then reconvened in the studio during the first months of 2006 alongside producers Mark Hoppus, formerly of blink-182, and John Avila, once the bassist for Oingo Boingo. The sessions yielded the band's first full-length album, We're Up to No Good, We're Up to No Good, which surfaced before the year closed. In spring 2007 Moore departed, and Allen Peoples stepped in as his replacement.
