Rwake

Emerging from Little Rock near the close of the 1990s, Rwake fused Southern sludge textures with Arkansas-flavored art metal. The group tracked an initial demo in 1998 and then issued a second one, Absence Due to Projection, under its own imprint the next year. Three years after that, the band delivered its first full studio album, Hell Is a Door to the Sun; a subsequent long-player, If You Walk Before You Crawl, You Crawl Before You Die, appeared on At a Loss Records in 2004, when the roster included Chris Terry on vocals, Gravy and Kiffen on guitar, Reid on bass, Jeff on drums, and B. handling Moog, vocals, and samples.
