Biography
Shajan's work centers on meditative music crafted to heighten the spiritual dimensions of Reiki, the widely practiced holistic method of hands-on healing. Born in London to a Malaysian ambassador, he developed an affinity for Far Eastern sounds while traveling through China, Taiwan, Bali, and Singapore. He joined the Sequoia label in 2002, issuing Music for Reiki and Meditation that same year. The album received the COVR Visionary Award for Best Meditation/Healing Music Album of the Year. The Healing Touch: Music for Reiki & Meditation, Vol. 2 appeared in 2004.
