Biography
Forming a gangsta rap duo based in Oakland, California, Steady Mobb'n remained active from 1997 through 2003 while signed to Master P's No Limit label. Billy Bathgate and Crooked Eye delivered their first two albums on that imprint, starting with Pre-Meditated Drama, which peaked at number six on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart in 1997, and continuing with the Top 20 success Black Mafia in 1998. The duo subsequently moved to Cold Cash to release Crime Buddies in 2001 and then to Big Body for Espionage in 2003.
