Biography
The post-grunge hard rock group Stereoside, based in Ocala, Florida, showcases the skills of vocalist Jeff Shields, bassist David Oliver, drummer Chris York, and guitarist Ben Foster who also handles vocals. Originating in the late 1990s from the earlier project 60 Cycle Hum, the ensemble put out a record during 2005 featuring its initial frontman Eddie Sweeney. After parting company with Sweeney, the group welcomed Shields aboard in 2006, following his victory in a regional contest modeled after American Idol. The following year brought a deal with Beiler Bros. Records, an independent label, prompting the start of recording sessions for the band's first full-length effort featuring Shields. Titled So Long, that album had a planned launch date of September 2007.
