Steven Moses, an American rapper, occupies the emo-rap space between Trippie Redd and Lil Peep by supplying a hazy yet perceptive version of the genre-blending style showcased on his first album, Love Me // Leave Me, issued in 2018, and on 99, which arrived in 2020.

He was born and raised in Blair County, Pennsylvania, where an early interest in music led him to start punk bands as a teenager while also absorbing rap influences. Periods of homelessness, drug abuse, and broken relationships marked his young adult years, directing his attention toward music as an outlet for those experiences. Beginning in 2018 he uploaded material online, accumulating streams and attention via tracks including "Hotboy," "Alone," and the breakout "Love Me." Those recordings formed the basis of Love Me // Leave Me, released the same year, with guest appearances by Maxo Kream and Jaxxon D. Silva. During the next year he concentrated on new recordings, releasing several joint tracks early in 2020, among them "Nascar" with Lil Miggy and ThatFatApe and "Money Dew" with ReMix Reek and K Rozay, before issuing "Lose It" as his first Def Jam single. The label followed with his second album, 99, a few months afterward, securing his individual standing in the shifting emo-rap scene.
