Strip Steve, a French DJ and producer, crafts energized rhythms that straddle club and hip-hop territories. Born Théo Pozoga in Bordeaux, he absorbed influences ranging from Daft Punk to Yo! MTV Raps and launched his mixing career at age 14, soon handling soundtracks for gatherings among his friends. His first release arrived in 2007 with the single "Skatin'" on Disque Premier, followed in 2008 by a move to Berlin. There he maintained a packed schedule of remixes for Shadow Dancer, Van She, and Outlander while issuing the EP Skip School on Boys Noize. The 2009 EP Delta Disco merged vintage U.S. house stylings with his French sensibilities, and he joined the Boys Noize Power Tour across Japan, Australia, and Europe. Remix editions of Delta Disco appeared in 2010 with contributions from German techno minimalist Ian Pooley and French club DJ Das Glow, leading to a 2011 split EP between Steve and Das Glow. His debut full-length Micro Mega surfaced in July 2012, featuring guest spots from Das Glow, U.S. house veteran Robert Owens, and playful Los Angeles dream popsters Puro Instinct.
