Biography
In the late 2000s, Canadian power pop singer/songwriter Taylor Knox surfaced as a reliable sideman and multi-instrumentalist, lending his skills to prominent indie outfits including Owen Pallett, Rich Aucoin, Alvvays, and the Golden Dogs, the latter of which eventually installed him as a permanent member. The Toronto native drew from hooky melodic rock touchstones such as Sloan and Teenage Fanclub when he initiated his solo path in 2015 through the six-song EP Lines, an effort that illuminated both his songwriting acumen and instrumental command. Enlisting longtime friend Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) for production on his debut full-length, Knox returned in summer 2017 with Love, which delivered a subtler iteration of his melodic sensibility.
