Teenear

Known for her focus on energetic, melody-driven contemporary R&B, singer and songwriter Teenear obtained a Slip'N'Slide Records contract after posting cover versions online, leading to multiple singles that began with "Friday Night" in 2015, the same year she turned 18.

Teenear Renee first sang as part of her church's praise team in Miami, Florida, before moving on to solo performances at local talent shows. Rihanna's "Stay" received such a strong response that, with her parents' firm urging, she launched a YouTube channel to reach more listeners. Those uploads and additional covers drew interest from the Miami-based Slip'N'Slide label and produced the recording deal. Upon graduating high school in 2015, she issued her debut single "Friday Night," which included a guest verse from Sage the Gemini. "Streetlights" followed in 2016 and was soon joined by a dancehall-flavored remix featuring labelmate Trina. Several more tracks surfaced across 2017 and 2018, among them the sparkling Fetty Wap collaboration "Love Me or Leave Me" and the beaming ballad "Need Your Love."
