Biography
Terry Ellis launched her music journey in 1990 by joining the group For You alongside Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones. Subsequently, the ensemble adopted the name En Vogue and produced numerous R&B successes.
During the middle of the 1990s, En Vogue's members paused their recording activities for three years, enabling Ellis to pursue her individual project, the 1995 album Southern Gal issued by Elektra. Among its tracks, the singles "Wherever You Are" and "What Did I Do to You" achieved hit status.
Although Dawn Robinson ventured into a solo career and chose not to return, Ellis reunited with the remaining En Vogue duo in 1997 to finish the album EV3.
