The Kicks

Hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas, the Kicks lineup includes singer and guitarist Scott Cook, bassist and vocalist Joshua Faulkner, lead guitarist and keyboardist Jesse Palmer, plus drummer Jaren Johnsten. Since forming in 2000, the group has merged power pop, punk-pop, and metal influences to forge an identifiable style. Their first album arrived as a 2002 self-titled release on Compendia, with the follow-up Hello Hong Kong appearing two years later as their TVT debut. In the intervening period the Kicks shared bills with the Donnas, Nada Surf, the Get Up Kids, Local H, and Mötley Crüe.
