Biography
In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on the outskirts of Nashville, the extreme metal band Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza assembled around Layne Meylain, Brad Thomson, Mike Butler, Mason Crooks, and Jessie Freeland. Their punishing, eclectic approach merges technically intricate grindcore with groove-heavy thrash and experimental metal textures. The group signed with Corrosive Recordings in 2005, issuing their first independent album that same year. After sustained touring across the United States, they delivered Danza II: The Electric Boogaloo through Metal Blade in 2007. Meylain and Butler departed on good terms in 2009, at which point Mike Bradley came aboard as drummer. July 2010 saw the arrival of Danza III: A Series of Unfortunate Events.
