The Warning

The Mexican hard rock outfit the Warning fuses intricate guitar lines, driving percussion, and expansive sing-along hooks. The three Villarreal sisters progressed from online discoveries to regular festival attractions after unveiling their opening album, XXI Century Blood, in 2017. Daniela supplies guitar and lead vocals, Paulina plays drums while contributing vocals and piano, and Alejandra handles bass, piano, and backing vocals. The siblings signed with Lava Records, a Universal imprint, in 2021 and delivered the album ERROR the following year. Live commitments filled most of 2023 as they prepared their fourth release, Keep Me Fed, for 2024.

The sisters first uploaded clips around 2014, quickly gaining notice for their teenage instrumental skill and a setlist heavy on Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and AC/DC covers. Victoria Records signed them, resulting in the 2015 EP Escape the Mind. Their debut album, XXI Century Blood, surfaced in 2017 and soon led to joint bills with Def Leppard and the Killers. The follow-up, Queen of the Murder Scene, arrived in 2019 and prompted Lava Records to add the band to its roster. Lead single “Choke” appeared in 2021 and was included on ERROR the next year. Concert activity intensified throughout 2023, encompassing support dates for Muse and Guns N' Roses plus the group’s first European shows. Singles such as “S!CK” and “Burnout” preceded the 2024 arrival of Keep Me Fed.
