Biography
Having once fronted the merengue ensemble Los Hermanos Rosario, Toño Rosario launched a thriving solo path in 1990. Born in the Dominican Republic, he co-founded the group with his brother in 1978; even after the band’s strong run through the 1980s, he settled in Puerto Rico and opened his independent discography with the 1991 album Atado a Ti. Four of those solo releases attained gold certification, two of them also reaching platinum, establishing him among the island’s foremost vocalists. Exclusivo arrived in 1998, with Magia de el Cuco appearing the following year.
