Useless ID

Useless ID originated in Haifa, Israel, during 1994 and stands among the rare Israeli punk acts to achieve substantial recognition in the United States. After issuing two early albums on independent labels, the band spent the following five years on the road, completing a total of six North American tours. Their initial major opportunity arrived in 1999 when Kris Roe, frontman of the Ataris, asked them to contribute to a split release on Kung Fu Records. The same imprint went on to issue their subsequent trio of full-lengths: Bad Story Happy Ending in 2001, No Vacation from the World in 2003, and Redemption in 2005. Following the 2008 album The Lost Broken Bones and a joint project with Muki, lead singer and rapper of Shabak Samech, the group moved to Fat Wreck Chords, which put out Symptoms in 2012. Their 2016 effort, State Is Burning, delivered a raw, stripped-down collection that Fat Wreck Chords again handled for North American distribution.
