Biography
Valvomo, a lively pop group drawing from ska, gained their greatest recognition through the 2006 track "Mika Kesa" (What a Summer), which ranked among Finland's top tunes that year. The Helsinki musicians Seta, TeiSka, Ville, and Markiisi came together as a quartet in 2005, aiming to blend pop sensibilities with politically conscious themes. Released as their inaugural effort that same year, "Mika Kesa" ascended to the pinnacle of the Finnish singles chart, where it remained for a full eight weeks. Mid-August 2006 saw the launch of the group's first long-player, Heita Ensimmainen Kivi (Throw the First Stone).
