Happoradio

The Finnish rock outfit Happoradio achieved its breakthrough via the 2008 breakout hit "Che Guevara." Formed in 2001 and headquartered in Helsinki, the group consists of Aki Tykki (voice, guitar), A.H. Haapasalo (guitar), Jatu Motti (bass), and Markku DeFrost (drums). Their first single arrived in 2002 as the Top 20 entry "Pahoille Teille." Sony BMG issued the debut album Asemalla the next year; that project contained the Top 20 follow-up "Sinä." The 2004 sophomore set Pienet Ja Keskisuuret Elämät likewise performed well, climbing into the Top 30 while yielding the Top 20 single "Kaupunki Täynnä Ihmisiä." Although the subsequent album Vuosipäivä (2006) also reached the Top 30, the fourth release Kaunis Minä (2008) claimed the top chart position and introduced the breakout hit "Che Guevara," which climbed all the way to number two.
