Biography
White N3rd, born and raised in Manchester under his given name Scott Wild, first operated out of view before launching into dance production from a bedroom studio during his studies at Manchester City College. Mid-'90s hip-hop and the U.K. rave scene shaped his approach as he accumulated credits producing, composing, and writing for artists including M.O., MNEK, and Diplo, then co-founded the DJ collective LuvBug in 2014 with former JLS member Marvin Humes and producer JKAY. Strong U.K. chart showings by the LuvBug releases Resonance and Revive (Say Something) heightened demand for his production work, which led to his 2015 co-writing and production of U.K. garage star Craig David's hit single "When the Bassline Drops." He stepped out solo in 2016 with the debut track "That Thing" and a signing to Ministry of Sound, releasing the Baby D and Silk-sampling follow-up Freaky with You that July.
