Joel Corry

Joel Corry, a British DJ and producer, crafts upbeat, bass-heavy house music rooted chiefly in the U.K. garage and R&B sounds of the 1990s and 2000s, pairing energetic grooves with wistful emotion. Breakthrough arrived in 2019 through his cover of Monsta Boy's "Sorry," and the following year he secured his first U.K. number one via "Head & Heart" featuring MNEK. A further U.K. Top 20 entry came in 2021 with the David Guetta and RAYE collaboration "Bed." He went on to issue the EP Four for the Floor plus singles alongside Bryson Tiller, Tom Grennan, and others, while earlier releases with artists such as Icona Pop and MK paved the way for his 2023 debut album, Another Friday Night.

Corry entered the world in 1989 and spent his London childhood surrounded by the peak of the U.K. garage movement, taking up DJ duties at age 13. Alongside his ownership of a personal training company and a separate business selling gym and leisure wear, he first drew widespread notice as a cast member on the reality series Geordie Shore. His initial dance singles, "Back Again" and "Light It Up," appeared in 2015. From 2017 onward he hosted a dedicated show on KISS FM while holding summer residencies across Ibiza, Zante, Ayia Napa, and additional clubbing destinations. In 2019 he put out a cover of Monsta Boy's 2000 U.K. garage hit "Sorry (I Didn't Know)," rebranded simply as "Sorry" and featuring vocalist Hayley May. Airplay on the British reality series Love Island helped the track climb to the Top Ten in the United Kingdom, Scotland, and Ireland. Two more singles followed in 2020—"Lonely" and "Head & Heart"—both reaching the U.K. Top Five; the latter, a partnership with MNEK, ultimately topped the U.K. singles chart and registered on the Billboard Hot 100.

February 2021 brought another U.K. Top 20 success with "Bed," again featuring David Guetta and RAYE, and both tracks later appeared on the EP Four for the Floor. A second Guetta collaboration, "What Would You Do," arrived in 2022 and included Bryson Tiller, with "History" alongside Becky Hill and "Lionheart (Fearless)" featuring Tom Grennan coming next. His first full-length project, Another Friday Night, landed in 2023 and welcomed guests including Charli XCX, Rita Ora, and Icona Pop.
