Biography
Loud Luxury, a Canadian duo now based in Los Angeles, craft bright, ecstatic dance-pop laced with wistful lyrics and describe their signature sound as "deep house with a shot of tequila." Their inspirations range from Disclosure and the Weeknd to Calvin Harris. The pair first broke through via the 2017 single "Body," which features brando, reached charts across numerous countries, and earned diamond certification in Canada. Two Juno Awards followed, along with further successes such as "I'm Not Alright" alongside Bryce Vine and the EPs Nights Like This (2020) and Holiday Hills (2021). Additional singles kept them on the Canadian charts, among them 2022's "These Nights" featuring Kiddo. In 2023 they joined country singer Kane Brown on "Next to You," while "If Only I" featured Bebe Rexha.
Andrew Fedyk and Joe De Pace first crossed paths as students in London, Ontario, and began creating music together in 2012. Early remixes and original tracks posted online soon attracted notice from influential DJs including Tiësto and Oliver Heldens. Relocating to Los Angeles in 2015 allowed the duo to expand their touring schedule, supporting acts such as Arty and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Their 2016 collaboration with Borgeous, "Going Under," preceded the Tiësto's AFTR:HRS releases "Fill Me In" and "Show Me." A remix of Martin Garrix's "Scared to Be Lonely" drew further attention, as did the Armada Music-issued "Body" featuring brando in 2017, which charted in dozens of countries and later secured a Juno for Dance Recording of the Year. The 2018 single "Love No More" paired them with Anders, while 2019's "I'm Not Alright" with rapper Bryce Vine became another chart success.
After claiming the 2020 Juno for Group of the Year, they released the EP Nights Like This. Singles such as "Aftertaste" featuring Morgan St. Jean and "Like Gold" with Frank Walker featuring Stephen Puth led into their second EP, 2021's Holiday Hills. "These Nights" featuring Kiddo and "Afterparty" featuring Hook N Sling surfaced in 2022. The following year brought "Next to You," a collaboration with DVBBS and Kane Brown, followed by "If Only I" with Two Friends and Bebe Rexha.
