Bruce Fielder works under the alias Sigala as a London-based house DJ, producer, and remixer. His career began in 2015 when the Jackson 5-sampling single “Easy Love” climbed to the summit of the U.K. charts; afterward he issued a string of buoyant dance-pop tracks that paired him with assorted guest vocalists and producers. The 2018 album Brighter Days gathered collaborations involving Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Sean Paul, and Nile Rodgers, among numerous additional contributors. Later releases such as “Wish You Well” with Becky Hill and “Lasting Lover” with James Arthur extended his sequence of U.K. Top Ten entries, while the 2022 track “Stay the Night” featured Talia Mar.

Fielder grew up in Norfolk, England, where childhood piano lessons led to participation in several bands following university. He later established himself as a producer and shared songwriting credit on Ella Eyre and Sigma’s 2015 U.K. hit “Good Times.” His debut release under the Sigala name, the energetic house cut “Easy Love,” centered on a sample of the Jackson 5’s “ABC.” Issued via Ministry of Sound, the track entered the British singles chart and ascended to number one by its second week. The follow-up “Sweet Lovin’,” which spotlighted singer/songwriter Bryn Christopher, peaked at number three and earned gold or platinum certification across multiple territories. Additional 2016 successes included “Say You Do” featuring Imani and DJ Fresh, “Give Me Your Love” with John Newman and Chic’s Nile Rodgers, and “Ain’t Giving Up,” a Craig David partnership that appeared on his sixth album, Following My Intuition.

During 2017 Sigala joined Danish DJ Kato to co-produce the Hailee Steinfeld vocal single “Show You Love.” He next teamed with Paloma Faith for the 2018 release “Lullaby.” That same year Ministry of Sound collected ten prior singles plus select new cuts to form the debut studio album Brighter Days, which topped the U.K. Dance Albums chart. Further singles arrived in 2019 with “Wish You Well” alongside Becky Hill and “We Got Love” featuring Ella Henderson. Another Hill collaboration, “Heaven on My Mind,” surfaced in 2020, and “Lasting Lover” with James Arthur became Sigala’s eighth U.K. Top Ten single. In 2021 he issued “You for Me” with Rita Ora and “Runaway” alongside R3hab and JP Cooper. The solo track “Melody” and the Talia Mar duet “Stay the Night” both appeared in 2022, and the majority of these recordings later surfaced on the 2023 sophomore album Every Cloud.
