Biography
The Norwegian production duo SeeB, formed by Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg, has built an extensive catalog of worldwide successes via both remixes and original collaborations. Their breakthrough arrived through a tropical house treatment of Mike Posner’s 2015 single “I Took a Pill in Ibiza,” after which they supplied reworkings for Coldplay, Taylor Swift, and Ed Sheeran while securing their own chart entries alongside OneRepublic, Bastille, Highasakite, and additional partners. The pair’s first full-length project, Sad in Scandinavia, surfaced in 2021 and featured further guest spots from Goodboys, Zak Abel, and K CAMP; subsequent releases have paired them with Alexander Stewart and BANNERS.
The two Norwegians initially united as proprietors of Oslo’s The Living Room studio, a facility frequented by everyone from pop superstar Lady Gaga to Polish death metal act Khold. Production credits under their own names began in 2012 on Loreen’s album Heal, followed in 2014 by contributions to Kiesza’s Sound of a Woman that included SeeB remixes drawn from the same record. After issuing their own 2015 debut single “Simple Life,” the duo established their identity with 2016’s EMI release “Breathe,” which featured Neev on vocals. That same year their remix of Mike Posner’s “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” entered the Top 10 throughout Europe and in the United States, with subsequent versions of Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” and OneRepublic’s “Kids” expanding their reach still further.
In 2017 SeeB issued the singles “Under Your Skin” with R. City, “Boys in the Street” featuring Greg Holden, and “Cruel World” alongside Skip Marley, while also linking with OneRepublic on “Rich Love.” Their introductory EP, Nice to Meet You, arrived the following year and contained the Dagny collaboration “Drink About”; later in 2018 they joined Bastille for “Grip.” The 2019 tracks “Free to Go” with Highasakite and “Bigger Than” featuring Justin Jesso both registered on the Norwegian charts. Opening 2020, SeeB teamed with Julie Bergan on “Kiss Somebody” before releasing further singles involving American Authors, Goodboys, Zak Abel, and others.
The full-length Sad in Scandinavia appeared in 2021, incorporating earlier singles together with new cuts that included K CAMP, Kiddo, and Simon Jonasson; it peaked at number 25 on the Norwegian album chart and was succeeded by a 20-track remix collection. “Sweet Dreams & Dynamite,” a Nina Nesbitt collaboration, surfaced the same year. The duo reunited with Julie Bergan for the 2022 single “Always,” then delivered “Would You Lie” with Alexander Stewart. In 2023 they released “Submarine” alongside BANNERS and SUPER-Hi.
