Dutch EDM act The Him comprises Jeroen Kerstens alongside Steven Berghuijs. Uplifting though bittersweet anthems focused on vocals, their dance tracks explore themes of romance, emotional pain, and the summer season, with notable examples being the 2015 release "Midnight Hearts" together with "Nothing on Us" from 2018.
Originating from Amsterdam, Kerstens and Berghuijs initiated their partnership during 2013 via participation in a remix competition hosted by Tiësto. Original material followed shortly thereafter, highlighted by "Skinny Dipping" in 2014, while joint efforts with Sam Feldt produced the Spinnin' Records singles "Drive You Home" and "Midnight Hearts" in 2015. Scorpio Music issued "Feels Like Home" later that year, which went on to rank among their top streamed recordings. Remixes for Martin Garrix, the Chainsmokers, Miley Cyrus plus additional artists came from the duo, who also took the stage at prominent events including Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza. Further singles emerged like "I Wonder" and "Nothing on Us," with "Always" from 2018 entering the Top 40 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. "Unstoppable" and "Found Me" formed part of their 2019 releases.
