British producer and DJ Nathan Dawe specializes in energetic, vocal-driven club tracks steeped in garage, rap, and R&B traditions. Multiple chart successes followed his 2018 arrival, among them the KSI-assisted “Lighter,” which climbed to number three on the U.K. singles chart in 2020. Two further Ella Henderson features—“21 Reasons” in 2022 and the 2023 Joel Corry collaboration “0800 Heaven”—both landed inside the Top Ten, while the 2023 single “Heart Still Beating” paired him with Bebe Rexha.

Born in Burton-upon-Trent in 1994, Dawe started creating remixes of fellow producers during his early twenties. Although his profile grew through club appearances and online mixes, the 2018 release “Cheatin’” marked the decisive breakthrough that prompted Atlantic Records to offer a recording contract. The track lifted a vocal sample from Deborah Cox’s “It’s Over Now” and underpinned it with a driving garage-style bassline. “Repeat After Me,” featuring Melissa Steel, surfaced in 2019, and later that year a version of Sweet Female Attitude’s 2000 hit “Flowers” featuring Jaykae reached number 12 in the U.K. and achieved platinum status.

During 2020 Dawe joined rapper and internet personality KSI for the upbeat house cut “Lighter,” which became an immediate success by peaking at number three nationally and number one in Scotland. He also contributed to Little Mix’s “No Time for Tears,” a Top 25 U.K. entry included on the expanded edition of the group’s album Confetti. Additional 2020 remixes were completed for Jonas Blue, Paloma Faith, Ella Henderson, and others. In 2021 he issued the singles “Way Too Long” with Anne-Marie and MoStack and “Goodbye” with T. Matthias.

His second Top Ten arrival came in 2022 via the Ella Henderson duet “21 Reasons,” which drew its saxophone hook from Rune Reilly Kölsch’s club classic “Calabria.” In the same month another track employing the identical sample, drill rapper Benzz’s “Je M’appelle,” also charted. Dawe next released “Sweet Lies” featuring Talia Mar. The 2023 2-step single “Oh Baby,” uniting Bru-C, Bshp, and Issey Cross, reached the Top 40, while “0800 Heaven” with Henderson and Joel Corry supplied his third Top Ten placement. He subsequently collaborated again with Bebe Rexha on “Heart Still Beating.”
