Biography
The Dutch progressive rock outfit A Liquid Landscape blends intensity with introspection through its expansive sonic approach. The group features guitarists Niels van Dam and Fons Herder, the latter also handling vocals, alongside bassist Robert van Dam and drummer Coen Speelman. Its compositions pursue an ongoing sense of equilibrium, steering clear of both excessive aggression and overly detached experimentation. Following several years of live performances that included appearances alongside Thrice and Anathema, the quartet entered the studio to record its first full-length effort. Producer Forrester Savell handled mixing and mastering duties on the resulting album, Nightingale Express, which appeared via Glassville in 2012.
