Throughout his professional journey, Seattle native Aaron Sprinkle has fronted multiple acclaimed alternative rock groups, established a thriving individual path in music, and overseen the creation of numerous records for diverse acts ranging from Copeland to Relient K. While attending secondary school in the opening years of the 1990s, he co-founded the groundbreaking Christian independent rock ensemble Poor Old Lu together with his brother Jesse Sprinkle; the group issued several albums and maintained an active touring schedule until its dissolution in 1996. After issuing two recordings in the late 1990s with the post-grunge outfit Rose Blossom Punch, Sprinkle began his solo work in 1999 via the more singer/songwriter-focused Moontraveler, demonstrating his considerable production abilities and multi-instrumental skills across later solo efforts that included The Kindest Days (2000), Bareface (2001), and the 2004 Lackluster compilation. In 2001 the revered Christian indie rock imprint Tooth & Nail engaged him as a producer, at which point he simultaneously initiated his production endeavors. Setting his solo activities aside, Sprinkle assembled the indie rock quartet Fair in 2005, and the following year the band delivered its Tooth & Nail debut, The Best Worst-Case Scenario. Production duties dominated the rest of the decade, encompassing projects for Thousand Foot Krutch, Demon Hunter, and Anberlin, among additional artists. Fair resurfaced with 2010’s Disappearing World, after which Sprinkle restarted his solo trajectory with 2013’s Water & Guns. An increasingly demanding production calendar absorbed most of his attention until the appearance of his sixth solo album, Real Life, in 2017.
