Al Walser, a dance music artist with a Grammy nomination to his credit, entered the world in Switzerland and launched his professional path by spinning records as a DJ across the diminutive nation of Liechtenstein. Departing a popular program on Radio Liechtenstein during 1998, he stepped into the second lineup of the Euro-dance ensemble Fun Factory, joining them just as the 1999 track “Party with Fun Factory” ascended to the summit of Japan’s dance charts. Upon exiting the collective, Walser shifted to behind-the-scenes contributions, taking part in Hamburg’s production outfit 33, then establishing his own Cut the Bull imprint that gave rise to the syndicated broadcast Al Walser’s Weekly Top 20. The 2012 release of his single “I Can’t Live Without You” registered modest traction inside European dance venues and among his core audience, yet it generated genuine upheaval upon earning a nod in the Best Dance Recording field at the 2013 Grammy Awards. That sudden visibility prompted accusations of “ballot stuffing” from within the EDM sphere, where observers highlighted how this little-known figure stood alongside nominees Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, and Skrillex. Walser fielded every request for comment on the matter and cited his songwriting abilities together with networking efforts as the factors behind the recognition.
