Led by songwriter Frank Bond, the Amsterdam-based folk-prog quartet Alasca released its critically acclaimed debut album Actors & Liars in 2012. Produced by Alan Branch, the record entered the Dutch charts at number nine the following week. Their 2015 sophomore album Prospero broadened the group’s approach by incorporating elements of spaghetti westerns, mariachi, and indie rock, a blend the band itself labeled “European Country.”
