Emerging from Liverpool, Aystar played a central role in the Scouse Trap underground movement that originated in northern England during the latter part of the 2010s. The year 2016 proved crucial for this artist, as he dropped his mixtape Scousematic and took the stage on Charlie Sloth's renowned Fire in the Booth radio program, where he delivered "Fire." Following this, Aystar contributed a guest verse to London MC Giggs' song "The Best," after which he began work on the next installment in his series. It was in 2018 that he finally unveiled the second chapter, his mixtape Scousematic 2.
