Biography
Emerging from Manchester, England, Beecher stand among the scant metal outfits to rise out of a local scene dominated by polished pop. The five-piece assembled in 2001, issuing their first short-player, Resention Is a Big Word in a Small Town, the next year. Its taut ferocity quickly drew listeners attuned to hardcore with metallic edges, leading the band to share stages with Converge, American Nightmare, and Sikth. That early traction carried forward when the group delivered its debut full-length, Breaking the Fourth Wall. First pressed on the small Calculated Risk imprint, the record gained broader distribution in 2005 through Earache, the longstanding metal and grindcore concern.
