Biography
Remembering Never emerged from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during the closing years of the 1990s, uniting vocalist Justin, guitarists Pete and Norm, bassist Grease, and drummer Danny behind a sound that fused the frenetic drive of metal riffs with emo’s melodic intensity and emotional weight, carving out fresh territory within hardcore. After multiple personnel shifts, the group stabilized around a new configuration that placed Pete on lead vocals, shifted Grease to guitar, installed Dre on bass, and retained Danny behind the kit following Justin’s departure. The revamped lineup released its inaugural recording, the EP Suffocates My Words to You, in 2002. A string of intense live performances soon attracted the attention of Ferret Music, which issued the band’s first full-length album, She Looks So Good in Red, later that same year.
